In 1963, under the direction of Father Erpen, the Catholic people of Stinnett, Texas, built St. Ann’s Church.
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Oates donated a five-acre plot of land west of the high school on Highway 152. Father Erpen executed the architectural and construction plans for the new church-hall with temporary or over-night living quarters. The architectural style is unusual featuring a baptistery, set apart from the church itself. Much of the work was done by Gilbert Lange of Amarillo, and the finished product is something that the Catholic people of Stinnett can be proud of. The church is presently a mission of Borger. Fr. Richard Neyer would drive across the Canadian River Bridge from nearby Borger to say Mass.
